Four new publications to add to the list!
- Our professor, Antti Revonsuo, has a new monograph coming in 2018 with the scholarly publisher Routledge, Foundations of Consciousness. According to the blurb, the book “provides an essential introduction to the scientific and philosophical approaches to consciousness for students in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, and philosophy.”
- An international team also including Antti have published an article in NeuroImage entitled “Transcranial magnetic stimulation of early visual cortex suppresses conscious representations in a dichotomous manner without gradually decreasing their precision.” Title says it all.
- An international team of researchers, including our current PhD student Joel Gerafi and Head of Division Sakari Kallio, have published an article in the European Journal of Neurology entitle “Neglect and Aphasia in the Acute Phase as Predictors of Functional Outcome Seven Years after Ischemic Stroke.” Briefly, the article investigates the potential use of early recognition of stroke-related issues for long-term rehabilitative interventions.
- Finally, Pilleriin Sikka, Katja Valli, Antti Revonsuo and our BSc alumnus Diana Feilhauer (whose BSc thesis formed the impetus behind the publication) have published an article in the American Journal of Psychology, entitled “How You Measure Is What You Get: Differences in Self- and External Ratings of Emotional Experiences in Home Dreams.”
