A team including departmental collaborator Petri Kajonius have just published an article in the International Journal of Psychology entitled “Sex differences in personality are larger in gender equal countries: Replicating and extending a surprising finding“.
Shortly, the article investigates a large, international sample, which somewhat surprisingly demonstrates that the more gender equal a nation is, the more marked are the sex differences in personality measures between women and men. The article has been picked up (quickly!) by international media, for instance with an extensive summary (unfortunately behind a paywall) in the venerable UK newspaper The Times.
