New publication on moral agency and responsibility

An international team of researchers including Joel Parthemore have published an article in the International Journal of Machine Consciousness entitled “Moral Agency, Moral Responsibility, and Artifacts: What Existing Artifacts Fail to Achieve (and Why), and Why They, Nevertheless, Can (and Do!) Make Moral Claims upon Us“.

The article explores the intersection between being an artifact (e.g. a robot) and being a moral agent, as a means of shedding light on the moral claims artifacts can make on us.
